I'm selling most of the paintings and prints that I've bought over the years.
An 'art collection' is a bit grandiose, but I couldn't really think of another way of putting it. Either way, it's a whole bunch of nice paintings and prints and a few oddities up for grabs.
I have loved looking at these pictures for many years. They have coloured my life; in a very positive way.
But it's time to pare-back and let other people hopefully get enjoyment from them. I need to be completely honest, I'm selling the majority of my pictures, BUT ones done by family and friends (there aren't many), are staying on what little wall-space I have in my diceptively and deceivingly designed new-build.
My name is Chris. I'm a graphic designer and I'm from Essex. But Bristol and Rhiwddolion are home. For now, I live in Poole.
From Jamie Hewlett to Banksy via Bob Ross, I have owned, bought, sold and given away a few pictures over the years. No science to what I bought. Not for investment. Just because I really like them. I am most definitely not an art collector, dealer or investor. The 'art world' is a weird place, with a lot of tits circling around it. I believe in the arts for everyone. As Peter Blake kinda said, without arts & culture we're fucked.
There are lots of different types of pictures, to suit all tastes, pockets and wall availability. If you're interested in anything, drop me a line at stuff@garys-bus.com
I know it's a slender market, but if you're interested, there's some really nice pictures up for grabs (at keen prices).
If you'd like to reserve, want to buy anything or just have a randomly related question, then drop me a line at stuff@garys-bus.com mentioning the stuff you're interested in, and we can go over stuff like postage, delivery, framing (if needed), re-framing (if wanted) etc.
The pictures for sale have been made by some pretty talented artists – some from Bristol, some from further afield, and some totally made up.
Fifty per cent of the profits will go to War Child.
The rest will go towards the renovation of a toilet cubicle at a 'creative' building I run in Bristol. At present, it's a poor toilet experience, and the very patient people who work in the building have waited over a decade for an upgrade. Fingers crossed it can happen.
Any questions, drop me a line at stuff@garys-bus.com. Or use the form below if email is too old fashioned.
Gary is a very good friend with a pretty unique and loving way of seeing the world. He's also from Essex, near the home of Maldon Salt. The best salt in the world.
Gary drops pearls of wisdom into conversation on a regular basis. They are pearls that really make me think and reflect on stuff. Literally. Stuff. All the stuff we have around us. Too much stuff.
